Claymore 2014: A Great Show!

For my friends North of the Border with whom I spent many an hour wargaming with at the SESWC Wargames Club. Made some great friends there too who I will be catching up with this weekend.

Be there or be square as they say! There will of course be a full report coming from these pages.

Battle of Verneuil English Men at Arms Base III

The Verneuil troops are about to get a re-basing so I thought I ought to document what I have. This base is to be placed behind Bedford's Base (More on that tomorrow).

Norse/Viking Casualty/Beserker Vignettes

These bases were originally meant for WAB. Since I don't usually play WAB nowadays (though I do have the occasional game) they have become casualty markers etc:

As usual, i hope you enjoy the pics.....

Beserker Base I

This base was ready made in many ways. All I had to do was remove the rather thick looking sword from the Artizan Beserker and add a Gripping Beast Daneaxe. The Foundry mini he has by the scruff of the neck came just as is so it was very easy to fit them both together by adding a small piece of plasticard below the Foundry mini before grouting etc.

Beserker Base II

And Beserker Base I with a change of base colour to a more frosty style.

Darrell.

9thC Norse/Vikings

I really thoroughly enjoyed painting these up. All the shields and banners are hand painted.

Some of the castings would be almost impossible to get hold of nowadays especially in the second unit as they were the first Gripping Beast 'Vikings' to be produced and were sculpted in Milliput! I don't think they really show their age as they have bags of character.

Cheers,
Darrell.
