Ox and bucks, D-Day 'Wargames Standard' Bolt Action Miniatures (Metals)

Hi, what follows are some pics of the Ox and Bucks, famous for their assault on Pegasus Bridge which was meant to cover the Eastern Flank of the British Third Infantry Division that was landing on Sword Beach and protect it from the German Armour.

The client asked for the early WWII webbing and green berets so that has been included on the models at his request.

As I say, they are Wargames Standard, a standard which I don't paint any more and I'll include some better (and consequently more expensive!) standard models at the end of the article.

And here's the pics of the high Standard miniatures:

    2. As glider troops they should be wearing the airborne maroon beret. Seen here modelled by a veteran http://www.combinedops.com/PHOTOS%20GENERAL/Normandy%202004%20081.jpg

  5. Your 'wargames standard' far exceeds my 'best ever' standard. Wonderfully painted.

  6. Funny you should notice these now AJ. I've just found them tucked away! The customer never payed for the work so I'm going to put them up for sale on LAF and/or, dare I say it, TMP soon.
