Lovely figures, but you didn't answer the question, how did the best(?) infantry in Europe lose? Did they pick the wrong rule set?

DeleteWell, I don't know and was hoping to spark a conversation. i certainly managed that with a very similar post on Facebook/Twitter (I refuse to call it "X"!)
ReplyDeleteI guess it was a lack of 'professionalism' both in terms of command and stomach for the fight. Harold's army was probably lower quality in terms of experience having lost so many up north. As he was supposedly advised to await more reinforcements before trying to take on William it was obviously seen as a risky move by some at the time.
