Arthurian Interlude! Merlin!

Hi,

I've has this chap painted up for a week or so and all he needed was basing up which I did at the same time as the Anglo-Danish Ceorls that you can see in a former post HERE and HERE.

I'm quite pleased with the mini and may well start painting up some more Arthurans to use in Dux Britanniarum as well as other Dark Ages/Early Medieval games.

And a larger pic for those who are interested in technique:

Bye for now.

    1. He's turned out well, I think there were about five layers on the his shirt and cloak so not too much work really. I made sure that the graduation was quite subtle.

The least I could do as i requested to Darren that I buy a single Merlin model and the next day one arrived free on my doorstep! Great lads those GB guiys.

    1. Thanks Robert, it's the usual five layers nowadays.

I used to use three or four but I've found that I can (hopefully!) get a smoother depth with five?

    1. Ta Ray, they're mostly Vallejo WWII colours muted just a touch more than straight out of the jar.
