Partizan Wargames Show, May 17th, 2026

Sunday gone was the Partizan in it's mammoth 40th year! Congratulations to anyone and everyone who has been involved in the organisational craft that has long held Partizan as the UK's premier show. You have all built by far the strongest, best run and most attractive show out of the whole gamut of shows I have attended in all my years of messing about with toy soldiers. Here's to another 40! (I know, me too!).

Be it in May at Partizan or October and The Other Partizan one can always count on several games blowing ones socks off, this year being no exception. Far from it.

I am going to stick my neck out and say that this must have been the busiest Partizan I have personally seen a Partizan; with the only give away being the size of the crowds due to the show being so smoothly run. An amazing feat.

I had a few mini hiccups and was delayed in getting in to the main hall due to lack of coffee and a minimal breakfast. This had the knock on effect of making me a little late on getting around the tables camera in hand so I didn't get to talk to everyone I would have liked so apologies to all whom I didn't have a chat with.

To the friends I did meet, it was lovely to see you all, and for the friends I made on the day, a special "Hi" is certainly warranted.

I was not able to catch the names of all the games, the clubs and the folk involved so please, if you know of any I have missed, drop a comment below and I will add it to above the pictures of the games.

Enough waffle, here are the games.....

    3. Definitely Dave. I could do a short article on WiP stuff if you have a game on next time? Easier to plan if arranged in advance (at least with my scatterbrain lol)

  2. You must have been rushed and very busy as you have totally missed out the game that won Best Of Show?

    1. I was very rushed (please see text above) and didn't even have time to say "Hi" to everyone I knew.

    2. Totally understand. If you want I can send you a load of cracking photos of the Iranian Embassy Siege?

This model with our assistance is being used for the new Channel 4 documentary on Operation Nimrod so it might be of some interest to people?

  5. Some very cool looking games there, thanks for taking the time to photograph and then share them.

    How was the trader situation?
I have noted over the years a distinct increase in re-sellers and 3d printed items for sale.
Did you note what the selection was like at all?

    1. Hi Mike, The games were mostly all amazing. As far as resale 3D prints I didn't notice any at all. Mind, I did go with a strict shopping list and left with none packs of Wargames Foundry Sassanid's only. Also, I was running late so missed a lot of traders and a few games too!
