Clubbing it!!! IV

Hi,

Matt and Shaun met with the  conclusion of the Peninsular game Thursday gone so I thought that i'd share the pics of the closing stages of the game.

Birtish Hussars Continue Routing the French Line on the British Right
(They had no right to do so really!)

British Infantry in the Center Remain (More of Less) Intact.

French Last Stand as their Withdrawal from the Field Takes Place

Two French Divisional Commanders Take Stock and Decide it's Time For a Tactical Retreat

And We Chickened Out, And We Buggered Off......

The Inevitable British Advance

Bye for now.

Late Romans- Wargames Standard

Whilst I was taking the snaps of the Perry Italian Men at Arms in the "Found Them!" post below I thought that I'd take the opportunity to get a couple of quick snaps of some Late Romans that I've been working on.

As I say, being Wargames Standard, they're not up to the usual high standards I try to set for myself but they have come out rather well.

Bye for now.

Battle of Hastings Pics IV

More. This time some skirmishers. I'm not sure that I'll use them as I'm not convinced that the Normans nor Saxons were that well versed in the tactical use of skirmishers. Still, that said, i may as well post up the pics! The first unit was painted up many years before the second. They are really nice Wargames Foundry miniatures sculpted many many years ago. I still think that they stand the test of time but could certainly do with more variation! The first unit is as from  the blister whilst the second has had the slings snipped off and the hands have been drilled to fit Javelins.

Bye for now.

Found Them!!

Over a year ago I was sent some of the Perry European Armies Italian Men at Arms on Foot to paint up for their website. without going through the woes that befell me last year (suffice to say that things were very traumatic and that I've had to move twice in the space of six months).

These have been tucked away in my ex girlfriend's garage and I've been looking for them for months in order to send them off! They were sent with six shields and six archers that have yet to be located but I reckon I'm on the right scent now. My ex's idea of packing mini's up is to do it well, she no doubt picked that up from me, but to organize them into relevant boxes is beyond her. not her fault I know!

I was beginning to think that I'd never find them! They are based but no dry brushing nor Silflor has been added but I couldn't resist taking a few snaps of them- it feels like i have found an old friend!!

Bye for now.
