Late Romans- Wargames Standard

Whilst I was taking the snaps of the Perry Italian Men at Arms in the "Found Them!" post below I thought that I'd take the opportunity to get a couple of quick snaps of some Late Romans that I've been working on.

As I say, being Wargames Standard, they're not up to the usual high standards I try to set for myself but they have come out rather well.

Bye for now.

    1. Very kind of you to say so Phil. They didn't take long to complete. to be honest it's the shield transfers that drive me potty!! Base coat- paint white- prize the transfer off backing (sometimes this can be difficult especially if you get a batch of old transfers)- stick to shield- remove all air bubbled- make sure the edges aren't sticking out- smooth any edges sticking out around edge of shield- gloss varnish to protect before painting mini! I swear I could have painted all the shield designs in that time!! LOL :>)

Seriously, if you were to see them close up compared to my display standard you'd see the difference :>)

    1. Thanks Phil. I think that the quality of the actual sculpt has a lot to do with how they come out so kudos to Musketeer/Footloose Bill for producing such great mini's.

    1. Many thanks for the kind words.

They really are just Wargames Standard, maybe the picture does them more justice(?). i think all in all they didn't take up more than two days max.
