Goths/Ostrogoths Close Ups of Single Bases

I'm not going to be able to get very much painting done over the next few weeks as discussed in THIS post so I'm going to update the blog with some close ups of some units that have not yet been published on here.

First up are the Goths/Ostrogoths. The Footsore Miniatures Goths will be mixed and matched with a company who will soon be producing some Goths more suitable for the Battle of Taginae 552 CE era. I have been asked on a few channels on social media to elaborate on this but, as I have alluded earlier, I cannot really say who is producing these as the company has not made an official announcement thus it is not really my place to say. Apologies to everyone who is gagging for Goths suitable for Belisarius campaigns in Italy, I am sure you will be finding out soon enough.

As usual, all the images are clickable so you can have a good gander at the pieces if that tickles your fancy.

  2. I have no idea, what to write in the comment section other than that's stunning and excellent job! Damn, how I wish to see your figures somehow in the real world, not on the pictures.

    1. They will be a part of a display at a Partizan show Bartek sometime in the future. Not sure when because of Covid but hopefully ASAP.

  3. Are you alluding to the plastic Goths from Wargames Atlantic?

    1. No. They are very definitely more Adrianople (378 CE) than Taginae (552 CE). The company I am alluding to is going to be doing them in metal.

    2. Guessing that’ll be Aventine then, fits with their early Byzantines range

    3. I'm afraid I'm going to have to say, "Guess away" as it would be very bad form for me to breach anyone's confidence. Sorry I can't be of more help :)
