  1. I have some of those Islemen on my table as well - can't wait to see how you do with them.

    1. They were on my list of what to buy for a while and with the upcoming Lion Rampant campaign at the club they were simply irresistible. All the Claymore mini's are lovely and very good castings too.

      Highly recommended :>)

  2. How do these compare size wise to Gripping Beast?

    Cheers

    1. A little bit smaller but be warned; the Gallowglass types have a much later helmet and some are armed with very big two handed swords so they would *not* make good Huscarls (if indeed that is what you're thinking of doing?)

    1. Thanks Roger, I've got a little bit of work that I have to complete before I can start of them but I'm going to prep the first 12 up and get them ready for painting next week later on today. Dentist first! [worried smiley] :>)

  4. My favourite Retinue is my Islesmen - line 'em up and watch the fireworks go off if you're playing them as Fierce Foot!

    1. The campaign lists have been designed loosely Dan. most of my units will be Fierce and we're only allowed one unit of men at arms (at least to begin with- I think?).

Really looking forward to getting my claws into painting the Claymore Castings, they are such evocative mini's. Stirling work from David, Andrew, Mr Hicks and Matthew Bickley too. The new Mounted French are something to behold- that's all I can really way :>)
